Blackout Period for Municipal Election

Dear readers this is my last newsletter for the term. Under the Election-Related Resources Policy, I am unable to engage with you through this format, until after the October 22nd 2018 municipal election. This time is referred to as the “blackout period” in which corporate resources and Member of Council’s office budgets are not to be used to sponsor any advertisements, flyers, newsletters or householders. The 60-day “blackout period” comes into effect Thursday, August 23, 2018.

During the “blackout period”, advertising for City events or services cannot in broad terms, include the name of any Member of Council who is also a candidate. Please be assured that my office will continue to serve you to address your needs and concerns.  Do not hesitate to call the office 613-580-2476 or email my team at shad.qadri@ottawa.ca if we can be of any assistance. For Election related questions please refer to the Ottawa.ca

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read my newsletter each week. It is always a pleasure to have the opportunity to provide you with updates on matters regarding the community as well as the City at large.
