Tales and Tunes


The Ottawa Public Library, in partnership with Friends of the Ottawa Public Library, Centrepointe Theatres and CBC, will host an all ages, bilingual, family event on Saturday, July 7 to celebrate and showcase storytelling and literacies in unique and inclusive ways.


Tales and Tunes: A Family Fun Day will take place from noon to 5 pm at Ben Franklin Place and will feature musical performances, a storytelling tent, drumming and ukelele workshops, a puppet show, a gardening station, escape room challenges, an illustration workshop, a community mural project, a reading nook featuring Canadian authors and much, much more.


Main stage entertainment includes performances by Aqua Nibii Waawaaskone, Medhi Cayenne, Hey Buster, Fredo le magician, Junkyard Symphony and family favorite, Fred Penner.
