Sledge Hockey at the GRC!

Come out and catch a game of sledge hockey this weekend at the Goulbourn Recreation Complex (GRC) in the Matt Bradley Arena.

Sledge hockey is an excellent sport enjoyed by athletes who possess different accessibility requirements. Just in March, Canada’s Paralympic team with Stittsville’s own Tyrone Henry took home the silver medal. Congratulations to all!

The Sledge Hockey of Eastern Ontario Tournament runs Friday to Sunday. Games on Friday go until 9:30 p.m. and start up again on Saturday morning at 8:15 a.m. throughout the day to 6:45 p.m. and Sunday 8:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

The try-a-sled event is back again as well! Residents are welcome to gear up and take out a sled Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. and Sunday afternoon 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. See what it’s like to play first hand. You may just discover your new favourite sport!
