OC Transpo Open House Recap

I would like to thank all the residents who took the time to join last night’s OC Transpo Open House at the GRC.

Many OC Transpo and LRT staff were on deck to answer resident inquiries and share some information about upcoming LRT infrastructure/planning and Stittsville OC Transpo service. The presentations are now available in full on my website:

Upon opening, the Confederation Line will be able to carry up to 11,000 people per hour in either direction. Future expansion can accommodate an ultimate ridership of 24,000 people per hour in either direction with service occurring every 5 minutes or less in peak hours.

The presentation also elaborated on new Routes 167 and 252 in Stittsville which have been modified to service the growing communities of Blackstone/Abbottsville Crossing and Trailwest/Fernbank Crossing respectively.

I highly encourage residents who were unable to join the meeting but interested in OC Transpo Service to Stittsville to review the presentations and the Facebook Live recording of the event here.

Thank you to all staff for taking the time and sharing their expertise with our community: Colleen Connelly, Manager of Service and Planning, standing in for Pat Scrimgeour; David Pepper, Manager of Customer Services; Alison Lynch and David Jones, Stakeholder Relations; Joanna Xiao, Supervisor Customer Service Centers; Mischael Raj, Transit Planner; and Erica Springate, Team Lead of Network Service Design.
