Ottawa Achieves Title for “World’s Largest Scavenger Hunt”


Last weekend, the title of the “World’s Largest Scavenger Hunt” was attributed to Ottawa in thanks to the joint effort of Ottawa 2017’s Ignite 150 Program and Escape Manor Ottawa!


2732 participants met the criteria for the hunt which took place , officially qualifying Ottawa to receive the official Guinness World Record designation.


6% of participating teams were verified as eclipsing the 225 point mark, with Team “Saucin” emerging as champions. Team “3 Peaks” took second place, followed closely by team “Hold the Mayo” in third. An additional prize package in the best costume category was awarded to “The Eh Team” with a beautiful Escape & Staycation Package.


Events such as these are an incredible showing of how our City can truly come together and make something great when we put ourselves to the test! I would like to congratulate all Stittsville residents who participated in and finished the hunt, helping Ottawa to achieve the world record!
