Lace up your runners, Stittsville!
This weekend marks the 9th annual Canada Army Run in Ottawa. The weekend features a 5km, 10km, and Half-Marathon Race including a “Vimy Ridge Challenge” to commemorate the 100-year Anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge. Participants in the Vimy Ridge Challenge will run, walk, or roll both the 5km and 10km races – wow!
Even if you’re not participating in the weekend as a runner, I highly encourage residents to take a look at all of the other events taking place in and around Ottawa City Hall in support of the cause.
If you’re heading downtown, be sure to review the list of road closures and traffic impacts available at: http://armyrun.ca/race-weekend/course-information/#1473953215851-d7332caa-ed15
To all of our runners participating from Stittsville and across the City, good luck and have fun!
