Have you ever seen a large bike with 30 people riding around town blowing their horns? Have you ever wanted to climb aboard one to raise awareness for a worthwhile cause? Well, this is your opportunity to do so!
I am happy to announce that once again on August 15th, I am participating in the 2017 Heart & Stroke Big Bike Ride, presented by Dairy Farmers of Canada.
This year, I will be joining Brown’s Independent Grocer as we ride into Stittsville Main Street at a start time of 12:30. I would like to send my thanks to Todd Brown and his team for welcoming me on their bike and all other teams who are participating in the Big Bike Ride this year. If you are taking part, remember to bring your noisemakers and bring your pedaling power but beyond all else, bring your presence!
The Big Bike is an exciting and enjoyable fundraising event as individuals come together aboard a bicycle built for 30 to raise awareness for the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
To join or sponsor a team, simply click on the team link here and then click “Join our Team” and complete the registration.
There is no registration or minimum fundraising fee but I encourage everybody to raise as many dollars as possible to support the Heart & Stroke foundation. All the funds directly support the Heart and Stroke Foundation in its goal of reducing Canadians rate of death from heart disease and stroke by 25% by 2020.
With your cooperation, I am sure we can make the big bike ride a BIG success.
Thank you and I look forward to supporting Heart and Stroke with you!
