I would like to let residents know about a musical evening taking place this August 1st planned by some of Stittsville’s talented youth. Tegan Pilon, Michaela Coté, and Scarlett Arbuthnot will be taking the stage at the Barley Mow from 7:00-10:00 PM.
The girls, part of Sarah McClurg Music School, are heading to Nashville this August to write with Nashville songwriters and record their own single. Sarah is taking a group of talented singers from the Ottawa area to Nashville for a 7 day singer/songwriter experience. The young group of singers will also be performing at the Country Music Hall of Fame, The Grande Ole Opry and at Nashville Shores Waterpark.
Tegan, Michaela and Scarlett have been busy fundraising this summer to offset the costs of the studio fees for their trip and they will be performing some of the songs they will be singing in Nashville.
Tickets are $5 and I highly encourage all residents to come out and support these youth as they pursue a dream which will inspire memories they can carry with them for the rest of their lives.
