As the warm weather gains momentum, I wanted to remind residents of just some of the fun ways to keep cool this summer in Stittsville.
Splash Pads are active until September 11th and run from 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM. Splash Pads are available in Stittsville at Pioneer Plains Park, Haliburton Park, Bandmaster Park, Upcountry Park and soon Deer Run Park (construction scheduled to finish with facilities available for public use by July 28th. Please note that there was an inconsistency in last week’s newsletter saying the pad would be open August 28th. My apologies for any confusion).
For a list of all splash pad locations across the City, please visit Ottawa.ca. To report a malfunctioning splash pad, please call 3-1-1 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Beaches are also open with supervision from 12:00-7:00 PM every day until August 27th at Mooney’s Bay, Britannia, Westboro, and Petrie Island (weather permitting). Be sure to check in with Ottawa Public Health for the most recent water quality results.
Washroom facilities are available at each location Monday – Thursday from 10:30 AM – 9:00 PM and Friday – Sunday from 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM.
