Canada Day 2017 Annual Seniors’ Breakfast: A Re-cap

As per every July 1st, my office had the pleasure of hosting our Annual Canada Day Senior’s Breakfast at the Stittsville Fire Hall (Station 81) on Main Street.

The breakfast was delicious (Scrumptious Catering), the hall was decorated beautifully (Pretty Pots center pieces), and everyone enjoyed the cake (The Sweet Room) and entertainment (Corinne Dilkie)!

The anthem performed by Mia Gosham-Hamer and the grace said by Reverand Jane McCaig were both very special.

I would also like to thank Ottawa Fire Chief Gerry Pingitore and the men and women of Station 81 Ottawa Fire Service who did an excellent job at helping support the event – we could not have done this breakfast without their assistance.

I would like to say another thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Vanbeuren for their presentation of this beautiful painting (shown above) they did of my wife Theresa and I. It captures many of the characteristics and features that make up our wonderful community. The Vanbeuren’s presented their piece to us at the end of the Stittsville Seniors’ Canada Day Breakfast.
