This weekend, I have the honor of joining the good folks at CHEO (The Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario) with their annual telethon.
CHEO is a world-class pediatric health and research center providing outstanding family-centered patient care, pioneering breakthrough research, and providing leading-edge treatment and compassionate care for children and youth aged 0 to their 18th birthday.
The Telethon is the culmination of fundraising efforts throughout the year by hundreds of diverse groups. Events include everything from school fundraisers to golf tournaments to in-store customer campaigns.
The event will take place from 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM on June 10th and 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM on June 11th and will be aired on CTV.
Donations to the CHEO Telethon are used to support the purchase of life-saving equipment, fund research into the treatment, prevention and cure of childhood diseases, recruitment and education of caregivers, and development of programs.
I will be manning the phones on Sunday, June 11th from 1:00-3:00 PM and I highly encourage all residents to tune in to hear some incredible stories of real CHEO heroes and donate to a worthwhile cause. Thank you.
