Kanata-Carleton Cultural Arts Day

I would like to invite all residents to the Kanata-Carleton Cultural Festival taking place May 27th at Earl of March High School and Sandwell Green Park. The event takes place between 10:00 AM – 9:30 PM with a large array of fun-filled events for the whole family taking place all day on both stages. It was organized by my Kanata North Councillor colleague, Marianne Wilkinson, in conjunction with west-end councilors Scott Moffat, Allan Hubley, Eli El-Chantiry and myself.

Many wonderful arts based organizations from Ottawa’s west end will be contributing and a full stage schedule can be found here.

Among performances, there will also be visual art installations including Art Mad Artists Stittsville who will be helping celebrate at the Earl of March High School from 12pm to 8pm.  The centrepiece of their show will be a group depiction of Canadian wild flowers, surrounded by a selection of Canada-themed paintings in acrylic, pastel and watercolour.

I highly encourage all residents to stop by and enjoy some great local artists! I hope to see you there.
