Canadian National Sledge Hockey Team wins Gold!

I am happy to share the news that this week, the Canadian National Sledge Hockey Team has won Gold in South Korea in a 4-1 win over the USA.

Their previous game against the USA ended in a 2-1 loss in what was an unbroken string of losses for the past 4 years to the USA. With this commanding win, this sets Canada back on top of the world and we have 3 local players and two staff who contributed.

I would like to send my sincere congratulations to the whole team including Stittsville locals Ben Delaney, Rob Armstrong, and Tyrone Henry as well as the Team Doctor, Lindsay Bradley and the Mental Performance Coach, Adam Kingsbury.

The Stittsville members of the team will be arriving from Air Canada flight 466 from Toronto at 9:20 PM Saturday, April 22nd and it would be great for any residents to show up to greet them to show their support.

Great job on representing your home and country!
