I am happy to let residents know that the Online Information Session for the Feedmill Creek Stream Rehabilitation Measures Class Environmental Assessment deadline has been extended.
The City has agreed to this extension upon resident as many residents felt that additional time would help to generate more thoughtful response to the project.
Residents now have until January 16th, 2017 to share their comments and I encourage them to do so either at http://Ottawa.ca/feedmillcreek or by emailing Laurent.Jolliet@Ottawa.ca. Please note that this date has changed from the last extension to December 31st to account for the Christmas Holiday Period.
This study was required to confirm quantity control criteria for the remaining future development in the Feedmill Creek subwatershed.
The proposed stream rehabilitation measures will mitigate the impact of future developments on the creek by providing erosion control, and improving the functionality of the creek from both a hydraulic and habitat standpoint.
The study team will review all comments and respond to any concerns or questions before the Class Environmental Assessment report is completed.
